Wilcox Library provides essential service, instruction and space to support a diverse community of learners using innovative discovery tools to ensure access to collections and resources in support of student learning. The Library further supports the University by collecting, preserving and organizing materials of historic value.
Wilcox Library is open to the public. Wilcox Library participates in the State Library of Iowa's Open Access Program. We will provide you with a library card to check out materials from our library.
Students' IDs serve as their library card.
Wilcox Library does not accept book gifts or book donations. This policy will be in effect for the fall 2019 semester until further notice.
The Oskaloosa Public Library accepts gently used books. Please call them at 641-673-0441 before making a donation. The Planned Parenthood Book Sale also accepts donations and has a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week drop off location in Des Moines. For more information see Planned Parenthood Donation .
We want to provide a comfortable, inviting place to enjoy and learn. We have many spaces for students, faculty and staff to use. The first floor has seating, meeting spaces and individual study areas. Lots of group study activity takes place on this level. The library entrance and service desk are also on this level so there will be a certain level of respectful noise. If you require a quiet place to study the lower level is our quiet floor. Also, check out the individual study rooms on the first floor.
